 Renewable's on the Grid
The following live graph helps to illustrate the dynamic nature of Australia's energy blend as well as give indication of the growing success of renewable energy.

What this graph shows is each region of Australia’s National Electricity Market (NEM) and the other main grids across Australia, how much electricity is being generated by each fuel type, using data published by several organisations:

In the east, the NEM covers only ½ of the Australian land-mass but accounts for roughly 90% of electricity consumed across the country.
In the west, the WEM is the largest grid (in energy terms) in the rest of the country, supplying the city of Perth and surrounding areas of south-western WA.

The NEM operates in Australian Eastern Standard Time (i.e. no daylight savings – so Brisbane time) and this is the time stamp given to the AEMO data displayed.

All data is shown as close to your current viewing time as possible.
